GM Design Camaro Winners List Leaked!

The 2010 Camaro is one of the hottest cars on the scene right now and one that no doubt will be the “it” car at this year’s SEMA Show. Now while anyone can head down to the showroom floor of their local Chevy dealer and pick one of these bad boys up, only a very select few individuals will be chosen by the GM Design Team to build a custom Camaro on behalf of General Motors. In total, eight Camaros will be delivered to the designers that won the design contest with a mix of V6 and V8 model renderings being selected.  More info and list of winners after the break.

Formula DRIFT Announces Schedule Change for 2009 Season

Long Beach, Calif. – June 25, 2009 – Formula DRIFT has announced a schedule change for the 2009 season. Round 6: Locked and Loaded at Infineon Raceway will be re-scheduled from September 12 to August 21-22. Formula DRIFT has been added to the Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma race weekend.  Rest of the release after the break.

Our good friends have posted up some great event coverage from the Drift Mania Round 1 2009 event in Quebec City.  Patrick Cyr took home the win in his awesome AE86 with a follow up from Matt Waldin in his Nissan 350z. Josh Herron: Formula D New Jersey

Josh Herron just posted his latest video of the Formula D Event in NJ, titled "The Gauntlet".  The video features one of the most intense top 16 line-ups this year, with Falken Tire taking all three podium spots at the end of the day with Darren McNamara taking first, Vaughn Gittin Jr. taking second, and Tyler McQuarrie taking third.  Watch the video after the break.

Tunerzine.com: Formula DRIFT Round 3

Phuong Tao headed out to Wall Speedway this past weekend and caught some great drifting action through his eyes.  Round 3 of Formula DRIFT was packed with action despite having a rain out the first day of the event.  Regardless, Team Falken stepped up to the plate, or shall we say podium, by clinching first, second and third.  Darren McNamara in the Sears Saturn Sky, Vaughn Gittin JR in the new 2010 Mustang and Tyler McQuarrie in the 350Z convertible.  Check out more photos after the jump and the full coverage on Tunerzine.com.

Falken Tire Sweeps the Podium at Formula DRIFT, Wall Speedway

WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ (June 8, 2009)  Performance and preparation paid off as Team Falken Tire’s factory drivers swept the podium at Wall Speedway in Saturday night’s round 3 of the 2009 Formula Drift season. Darren McNamara took the top rung in his Saturn Sky; Vaughn Gittin, Jr., earned second with his 2010 Ford Mustang GT; and Tyler McQuarrie finished third, driving his Nissan 350Z.



The achievement was historical as this was the first time ever for three Team Falken cars to take the top three positions as well as the first time one team has dominated the podium.
